The year is 2022 and at present, there are four active champions on the Formula One grid: Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen. Among the four racers, Lewis Hamilton is the most successful racer with seven F1 titles. However, in this article, we have drawn a stat comparison among the four racers after 150 F1 races.
Sebastian Vettel
German F1 legend Sebastian Vettel may not be doing great at the moment, but back in the day, he was untouchable. After 150 career races, Vettel had four world titles, making him the best of the lot. Apart from winning four F1 titles, Vettel racked up 41 wins, 45 poles, 73 podiums and 24 fastest laps. As of now, Vettel is 14th on the drivers’ championship table with 13 points to his name.
Lewis Hamilton
Last year, Max Verstappen won the F1 title and ended Lewis Hamilton’s dominance in the world of F1. This year, everyone expected the seven-time world champion to bounce back, but sadly, he is yet to win a race. However, after 150 career races, Lewis Hamilton had two F1 titles along with 34 wins, 72 podiums, 40 poles and 21 fastest laps. After the Canadian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton is sixth on the drivers’ championship table.
Fernando Alonso
Age is just a number says 41-year-old Fernando Alonso who is still giving a tough fight to junior drivers on the F1 track. Sadly, the two-time world champion is unlikely to win another title because of his age and the fact that he drives for a mid-table team. After 150 races, Alonso had his two F1 titles along with 23 wins, 58 podiums, 18 poles and 15 fastest laps.
Max Verstappen
At the start of the season, repeated car failures made Verstappen’s 2022 outing difficult, but now, the Dutch champion is back at the top of the drivers’ championship table. The way he is driving, another title is expected from Max by the end of this year. However, after 150 races, Max has the worst statistics compared to the other three former champions.
After 150 races, Max has only one world championship along with 26 races, 67podiums, 15 poles and 18 fastest laps.
